Gone before I could say good-bye

She was here, so suddenly and totally unexpected. Breathing life into all that had laid inside me like a barren field. Knowing answers before I could ask. Soothing wounds that for so long would never heal. The joy she gave me renewed my energy and gave purpose to my walk.
She's left me here alone, her hello not yet a rooted memory. Gone before I could say good-bye!
My life complete, with love that filled my heart. My arms finding comfort in her always comforting embrace. Her smile was her spoken reassurance that all would be all right. The dreams I had longed to become my reality, had finally come true and affirmed my faith in God's answering of prayer.
How could this dream come true, so quickly become my heartbreak? Gone before I could say good-bye!
She's out there somewhere; I'm sure unaware of the depth of my despair that shes no loner here. The passing of time has weakened my hope of our paths ever crossing again. Visions of her maintained in my mind. Resolved that contentment in life comes in bits and pieces, she was contentment that was much too small.
Alone now, her hello never given a chance to become rooted memory. Gone before I could say good-bye!
