The Torment within me

In the consuming cover of night what my eyes cant see, my heart continues to feel.
Feelings that are amplified in the lonely solitude of night, without any chance of interruption I endlessly reflect.
Reflections etched now so deeply within my soul, destined it would seem to never become a welcomed distant memory.
Memories should fade with the passing of time to ease my sorrow, yet they never do and instead I struggle once again with swallowing this bitter pill of broken promises.
Promise and hope that lay shattered on the ground around me, cuts deep into my sole of my feet draining life from me as I bleed.
Bleeding my life line begins to escape me, tormented this life seeks out the freedom from all that haunts it.
Its fleeting as the seconds go by, feeling it slip away..reflecting back on the memories that never offered promise. Bleeding inside for too long, now finally out in the open for everyone to see..
The Torment within me!

| loved it, reminds me of when you cant get to sleep and life is just gettin to ya. "amplified" was the best way to describe those types of emotions |

Feelings
Simple......yet intense
Great post, writing always seems to help me let all pour out. I always write with the deep inner feelings.
