Goodbye

I finally found the friendship they talk about in poems
The kind thats forever
That yould always remember
Ten days gone by so fast,
I was free from worry or hate,
I was completely at ease,
And I felt such great joy
As to explode this mere, mortal heart,
Eyes shining bright,
Enthusiasm shown in every single little deed,
When we were together,
Grinning happily and wanting to burst into song,
When we were together,
It was so, so fun,
Then, we had to part.
Its like a knife plunged into the soul,
Yet I wont cry for people to see,
But Im crying deep, deep inside,
I miss them all so much.
There was a kind of bonding,
I wish it could have been so much more,
But there just wasnt enough time.
I loved every moment of my stay,
It was great fun and taught me about life,
Have you ever felt so happy?
So happy youre with family?
And youre reduced to do childish acts,
To let out all that emotion somehow
Cause you dont dare to hug everyone
So, so tight,
And then its taken away,
And youre left to pine,
Cry, cry, cry,
For I love them so.

I think the bittersweet sorrow portrayed in this poems helps to truly define the value of a relationship with someone who cares.

Excellent write.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
