When Turtles Evaporate Into Something Bigger

Contributed by ediii on Sunday, 27th May 2007 @ 07:36:34 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Thinking of you no words come to mind
just tantalizing touch behind the curtain of light.
scratching my head not knowing to know
how to start this poem about the one I love.

*

Turtles evolved, they are not slow anymore,
almost sober they stay. No black. No blow.
With precious curls ,on the passanger seat,
with bright green eyes and lips strawberry sweet;
he speeds and swerves for the fun from hell
and tries to ball it. Let's just say-not too well.
Nothing will stop him from lighting one up
before he turns the music up and tries to rap
with the sweetest smile on the Patches of Red
-the softest silk she has ever had-
Even though she hurt she tried it again
and lost herself in a strong embrace of a man.
After a month or so she resumed her trust
and got carried away on the waves of cuteness and lust.

*

Their splendid curves entangled as one,
now resting after long lustfull fun,
were in sync with each other. The breathing. The beat.
Droplests of moisture evaporated with the heat.
Then she thought of the words, the three little ones,
took in a mouthfull of nothing and airfilled her lungs.
She raised her head and searched for his eye
-it was on Shaniqua and Susie-well, it was worth a try.
She laughed and kissed those Patches of Red
-the softest silk she has ever had-
She thought:
"Those little words I can not now say
I'm sure I will one of these days. "

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
