Across My Chest
Your head lies softly across my chest
Lulled to sleep by the beat of my heart
I see it gently rise with every breath
Clinging so tightly that we never part
Comforted by fingers through your hair
The candlelight accents your every curve
Memories of the passion we just shared
A smile upon my face while I observe
My loves beauty, in her blissful dreams
A female deity, I worship her entire essence
From the way she walks to her smiles gleam
Enraptured by our loves luminescence
Our souls connected in a love so deep
Time has come for me join you in rest
The beat of your heart lulls me to sleep
Your head lies softly across my chest
