We Met Love . . . Ben

Contributed by myheartsvoice on Friday, 15th June 2007 @ 12:47:16 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

We met love

when we were young

amidst an evening breeze,

your kiss you left upon my tounge

oh how you loved to

tease.

Sauntering

in your lingerie

my pulse began to race,

no need to ask if i could play

'twas written on your

face.

Never did i come so close

with anyone before,

Burning with desire we kept coming back

for

more.

This was more

than just a fling or any one night stand,

trading in our friendship rings for a wedding

band.

We met love

so long ago yet not so long at all,

for even now i love you so for you again i'd

fall.

I'd walk that road of loneliness

that brought my heart to you,

knowing when i reached the end i'd meet

my dream come

true.

Yes we met love and nurtured it

to what it is today,

upon a pedestal you sit

and there you'll always

stay.

Closer to the angels

than any one could be,

the night that we met love

we also met

eternity.

Ben

Your love is unconditional and so rich, it's almost too much to take in... But who cannot succumb to such a beautiful melody? I have missed your words, dear friend... I have missed you. There is always such warmth and... a sense of completeness after reading your work. You write with an angel's pen, cheri, and your ink is love of the purest kind. I can never thank you enough for being who you are, and most of all, for being such a wonderful friend. Forgive me for the lengthy absences, I am not ignoring you. Life, as we both know, gets us tangled and perilously occupied with things that we'd rather forget. But, c'est la vie, no? Massive amounts of joy and love going your way, papa bear. You put a big smile on my face, =D. Thank you for you. Always,

Your little flower,

~Stephy.

I like the story, and i enjoyed what you tried here with your sentance structure. However, saying this i don't think it worked for you this time. For me, the struggle you had to end every stanza with one word detracted from the purity and poise. It seemed to distract you from the goal and often became random and confused. But keep trying and i'm sure it'll work out

Absolutely the most wonderful testament of your love. Die hard and true, it is, Ben. You are so very lucky...and I know little old me, doesn't need to tell you that. Thank you once again for sharing this perfect gem of a marriage. I love you both...Peace brother
