Father

Contributed by crow on Monday, 18th June 2007 @ 12:20:37 AM in AEST
Topic: FathersDayPoems

I will take you back
when a strong man found me,
frightened, and hidden
how the world was blurred
His father`s day and mine"

I will let you listen
frightened as I,
see through my eyes
someone that held my hands to his face....

All the small boy memories
His chant" was merely a wind,
a legend in many eyes
a Father", ferocious, and kind.

Each time I could not rise
clarity would rush
his distant place,
lessons burnt
not really knowing
the Father did.

My appearance
might be as one now
the immortal is here till I fall
I am thankful...Fathers never go far. Vincent

[for the man that gave me life, and had the courage to find me]

There is a silent beauty within its lines that touch me. Your words and your heart breath life into this write. Your father is proud upon hearing these words for nomatter what he lives near you always my friend.

A splendid father's day poem indeed. Showcasing the idea of what being a father truely is through the eyes of the son. A wonderful job, well worded, with excellent flow. Something I have come to expect from you Vincent! Another good work barn stormer.

BRAVO!

You have done a wonderful job honouring your Father my friend. This is filled with love and respect that can only be learned from a Father who was these things.

awwww Vincent, how beautifully touching! Such
sweet and gentle memories. I especially loved,

"a Father", ferocious, and kind."

SUCH truth and amazement in that statement!!

The last 2 lines .. they blend within my heart like few
I've heard before. There is a deeper meaning there
than meets the eye. Beautiful, Vincent. Just beautiful ~
