When Anger Consumes Me

When anger consumes me, its a rare event,
I soon come to regret the hours I spent
trying to decipher it, to find some sense,
in the rage I feel when at someones defence.
People cannot always stand up for themselves
and others will lock them in reinforced cells.
Believing that just black and white hues prevail
and so into the stormy waters I sail.
Im not equipped with the true power of words,
although Im OK with rhythm and verse.
I empathise with the people concerned.
It can happen to anyone thats something Ive learnt.
So, should we condemn, assume that were right?
Because of our beliefs, is right on our side?
The answer is No and I say it with pride.
But Im guilty too a rich tapestrys life.

Hi Nessie :) Actually, I think your poem describes the reasons behind the anger, better than mine did...lol
