I'll close my eyes
and maybe this time
I won't open them again.
I'll hold it all in
and this wouldn't be the first time.
This life has only
one set of brakes.
Come and lie with me here,
and feel my heart beating loud.
I always wanted you,
wanted you to be the last thing I see.
I always secretly admired
those who weren't afraid of dying.
What a feeling that must be.
So when I close my eyes
for the last time
would you please be there
right by my side?
