Butterfly Eclipse

Contributed by wizard on Friday, 6th July 2007 @ 01:43:26 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Chasing dreams of tales untold
And butterflies against the wind,
Shattered hopes run uncontrolled;
Abruptly narrowed thoughts rescind.

Empty meadows within a heart
With love aflutter in the breeze
Elusively it plays its part;
As chase ensues, it quickly flees.

Upon a leaf of violet swirl
Waits the gentle blushing rogue,
Its flutter causing love to whirl;
This sudden chase; the latest vogue.

So many follow in pursuit;
With others simply dreaming of
A day to catch, and soon recruit
This butterfly of golden love.

Evasive in its subtle flight
Unmindful of the chasing fools,
Lost within its own delight
It sets its own unwieldy rules.

Stretched across the whispering sky,
Riding winds of broken dreams
Through days destined to go awry...

Yet a glimmer of hope forever gleams.

Well we miss you and your poetry here in ypdc .You wrote this in a style of its own so refreshing and beautiful .

Chasing dreams of tales untold
And butterflies against the wind,
Shattered hopes run uncontrolled;

Elusively it plays its part;

bro,
I was completely swept-up and blown away by this..
and distinctly, to an even greater extent,
by the final stanza - that both in composition and
emotion, left me on the brink of tears.. really-

amazing.. prodigal even~
one of your best!
