It's amazing looking back
And realizing how far i've come
From an angst ridden teen
To a woman so full of love
It's amazing to see the changes i've made
All the challenges that i've overcome
I'm stronger than i've ever been
I'm no longer a girl on the run
I've embraced my God
Instead of trying to hide
He comforts me now
In times when i could only think of suicide
The boyfriends they have come and gone
But i've remaind intact
My heart is in one whole piece
And nothing will ever change that
My head is held high
And i can honestly say
I'm proud of what i've achieved
I look forward to everyday
Your Life is a gift
And it's what you make it
So, when you're given a second chance
Always take it
I will always have my ups and downs
But God has given me life
So with every breath i breathe
I promise to never give up the fight
