Far From My Home

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Saturday, 7th July 2007 @ 07:45:29 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Pick through me
with a fine toothed comb
work through all the tangles
all the knots...so twisted
god I feel so very far
from my home

So many people around
yes, I hear you breathe
Alone am I though
Caught in a black hole
Take my hand quick now
before there's nothing to retrieve

Walking and walking
it would seem for endless miles
World dark, deserted
Nameless faces in shadows
all seem meaningless
with twisted lines and broken smiles

I try to remember the colors
that swirl constantly around me
In times of desperation
Getting lost in lollipop forests
tripping on trails
Is all that can be expected of me

7/5/07
Laura Horner

Because, you once said to me...

"... and the folks are the colors spinning across the canvas"~you

& now you're sayin'...

"I try to remember the colors
that swirl constantly around me"~you

I'm gonna put on my fulliest hippy skirt...dig my dancin' bells out & secure them 'round my ankles & I'll swirl & swirl for you 'til you're ready & able to dance for yourself again...

Shall we scream? Can you hear us?
No reason to fus.
You are one of us.
So you shall build the strength to carry on.
No heart of stength dies upon this earthly lawn.
You have the strength to make the shepards heart sing.
That is the love of silent voices that sing.
We love our peotess with words of now,
Dare not to ask us how.
The many ways we love you.

Never to weaken with questions...this is my response to a wonderful write.

Damn woman! This was exceptional!

I can't even begin to describe how this touched me and moved my
heart to a point of weakness. I am so caught up in the imagery in this,
sis. It's amazing! And that you can write magnificent wonders as this,
when you are feeling so tremendously lost and alone, is, to me, just
incredible. Sharing .. writing .. . knowing there are so many who love
you and are here for you is going to ultimately carry you when you
cannot walk yourself.

You are an amazing woman, Laura. And I consider myself one of
the lucky ones to call you friend. :)

*hugs you tight*

Laura we are all in one way or another Far from home..I often look back on my life and ask myself how is it that I have wandered so far. I could have stayed put in my so-called home but I chose to make another home in a far away land. I emote with your somewhat sad but great poem. Bern
