I sit on the couch
And flip through the channels on TV
I realize that the world
Has more problems than me.
Poverty, violence, murder, and death
People in the streets taking one last breath
Poor people using their last buck
Just to go out and get messed up
Single mothers on section 8
Leaving their children home, not coming 'til late
Children without food or a fridge
People living life under a bridge
We have more in life then anyone else,
So why are we still complaining
When there are poeple
Who would give their lives, for just one penny?
Be thankful for what you have
Be grateful and content,
And pray for those
Who have nothing but a cent.
