Quiet
Its raining
not hard
Not nearly hard enough
I wish it would rain harder, longer, louder
Not so much, because we need the rain
But because I need the noise, the storm
To drown out
the sound
of your voice
in my head
But its not,
So I push my thoughts....
I seek out memories....
Tranquil, happy, peaceful
Until you are asleep
once more
In the shadows
of my mind
And I smile
at the quiet.
