Im into things like thoughts and chances
and favorites and keys
to our hearts and leaves in the trees
and books on loving
and loving on fees
and fees with coupons
and people who please.
Please with nature,
not disease.
Dont offer me cookies,
expecting relief
from anyone who ever never thought you best.
Cookies are sweet but give it a rest.
Give me your best cause its what you want.
Ill give you whats in my chest.
Actually, wait thats wrong.
Ill do my best,
thats the most Im afraid.
i kiss, I cuddle
I hug, I touch
I listen, I doodle
little shapes of trust
into all that I love
hoping youll see the difference
between all or nothing and nothing but love.
Youre cool and Im cool and together were ok.
Like pieces in a puzzle little siblings chip to play.
Lets shove us together
and see what comes our way.
Ill play chillin and you play bored
Well talk like we miss the other but we wont really know what for.
The sex we keep in generic little rooms?
On generic beds without even fantasy tinted plumes?
You come, I dont.
We fall back and smile
I think, wheres mine?
You think, Im tired.
We sleep, we wake
We decide on another day
Theres little to say
and my mind is somewhere far away.
I leave and touch your face as I do.
You pretend you care as you take a bite of your burger and chew
On empty thoughts and empty words
I come back to my Moms and
shes wondering whats new.
Saying, nothin I put my bag in the hall
Shes thinking, 3 days is a lot and theres something going on
I put on my casual smile and proceed to my room
Shes thinking im hiding,
When really Im just not trying at all.
