Though my sorrow is deep
And the outcome looks bleak
Though my heart aches
And my thoughts turn somber
Why not ride the wave?
Though I have tried and failed
And all seems unfair
Though I have searched long and hard
Yet love still evades me
Why not ride the wave?
Though my life is far from perfect
And the pieces slip through my fingers
Though loneliness assails me
And at times its hard to breathe
Why not ride the wave?
Though happiness may never come
And more likely pain be constant
Though this life has never been kind
Anything is truly possible
So why not ride the wave?
