It's just muscle memory
of a time when we were close
of a time that we cared
We've lost touch with ourselves
and we try to recreate
The time we were close
The time that we cared
That's what love is though
A complete illusion constructed by our hearts
Making us think we are close
Making us think that we care
Once illusions fail us
We are left bitter and alone
Remembering when we were close
Remembering when we actually cared
