I see blood and despair
throughout my life
see people hacking away
people hurting themselves and others
I don't know how long
I can stand this any more
how can I see
through all this red
Sex and drugs is all I
hear about these days
people sleeping around
with everybody else
everywhere I go
see people getting high
see people hurting
people around them
I don't know how long
I can stand his anymore
how can I see
though all this red

Wow, its real deep and almost startling. All these bad things are so rampant in today's society that we almost become accustomed to them. But if we take off the glasses that make us apathetic to the absurdity around us, we realize how bad it really is.
Your poem is quite an eye-opener.
