I Can't Run from You

I couldn't tear my eyes away, everytime you smiled, you made me believe that, for once, things could go right. I couldn't bring my lips from yours, everytime you kissed me, it felt like someone had dropped the floor out beneath us, but you held me up. I couldn't run from your arms, they ran beside me and carried me when I was tired. But things are different. I still can't tear my eyes away, but you only smile for someone else, and my hope, that for once things had gone right, has all but disappeared. When the floor drops out, there's no one there to hold me up, and I still can't run from your arms, although sometimes I wish I could. My worlds turned upside down, spinning in circles. I should feel dizzy, but all I feel is numb.
