Crying
it doesnt offer much,
and bleeding
doesnt give that satisfaction
these days,
those days are dead and buried.. like i should be.
How my heart used to beat, when i rang at your door the smile that once visited my face when id pick up the phone.
those smiles are dead and buried. like i should be.
Burn everything, destroy everything.
I was always good at that.
I cant eat.
Im full.
My stomach..
its full of our dead butterflies.

The title caught me up because it sounded so sad. Butterflies.... usually a meaning for freedom. But these butterflies are dead. This was a dark and richly woven piece. I feel the intense loneliness and pain. The last lines...
"My stomach..
its full of our dead butterflies"
whoa...that really got me.
Peace,
Laura |
