Alone

Topic: secrets

She sits alone
Singing that same sad song
Heart cold as stone
Tears rolling down her cheeks
Scared of what shes been shown
Wishing she still had you here
The wind has already blown.

She sits away from everyone
Smiling that same smile
Scared of what youve done
Listening to them so blindly
Cant get close to anyone
Playing their stupid games
Knowing theyve already won.

Every step she takes
She pushes him away
All the smiles she fakes
Pretending shes okay
This morning she doesnt wake
Tired of being wrong for
Every move she makes.

He believes her lies
She says she loves him
He doesnt hear her cries
The thoughtful gaze he gives her
When he calls she doesnt rise
What he did to her, she does to him
Blackens her skies

He calls me on the phone
Asking me how Ive been
Im too scared to tell him Im still alone
Full of hatred inside my head
He tells me hes on his own
Wishing he could stay
My heart beats for him, though its made of stone.
