The first time we met I was swept away, you took my hand made everything O K You my protector in shining armor, led me away, Oh what a charmer. Older, wiser, you made me smile, we walked to my place about a mile. I washed my face, you dried my tears, You held me close, no more fears. A grown man so strong and wise, burst into my life, what a surprise. Laughed, fought, fell in love, angels were smiling up above.
We took our vows to cherish and more, ups and downs, never keeping score. Your in my heart watching from above, together we learned the meaning of love. You let me live to love and be free, gave me the courage to be me. Now it's time to go on with my life, I learned what love is being your wife. Had my dream, heard what you said, only someone special will share my bed. Until tomorrow and again in your arms, know you'll greet me with all your charms. There is nothing more I can say, Had to let you go and do it your way.
