VIP's in the front rows Of shows I'd like to know
Jaco, I miss you You hurt worse than the rest When I see what we lost When you left
We are bound by locality You grew up in Valley Forge Only 10 minutes away from me Then by one degree of seperation Having jammed with my music mentor This provides some consolation To me you are a giant Though I've never seen you in person
I first fell in love with you Before I knew who you were in Weather Report The band that defined the genre: jazz fusion
I'll never play as good as you No one will You missed the Brave New World A blue diamond could have eased your pain After a little while...
The American Indian was your pariah And why not.. But your sympathy's didn't extend any further than being a good guy Right now Maybe a glance in the mirror Could have saved your violent end But, it's never that simple

hmm..parts of it are very nice, poetic, etc.
but most of it seems like a lot of information. i have the same problem sometimes, especially when writing about people moreso then feelings.
but overall, good write. sorry for your loss.
