The Birthday Drink

Although I have tried, the following fails to effectively describe,
the best night of my entire life
You have changed my heart, given me hope
shown me love,
no need for words
You stood tightly in my arms
as our bodies sway
ignoring the crowds
the darkness faded away
the music played
a most significant first embrace
I stared down at your face
Stroked your hair
Kissed you lips
Held your fingers in firm grips
I can feel your softness
Even as I write this
It is all of you that I miss
Closing time
chased us home
I usually do this walk alone
Typically, thinking of you
wishing you beside me
instead of long gone
So, shocked as you stood-
just beautifully,
there
We stumbled playfully up the stairs
The bed is soft
large and comfortable
not meant for sleeping,
this particular evening
instead, heavy breathing,
stung the air

wow......what a sweet way to end a birthday
with someone who means more than anything and satays with you
happy birthday when ever it is
hope it was an intrigueing , one
we all deserve some happiness
