Now in gentle silence I pause and I reflect Upon the thoughts of yesterday So often I detect And all the dreams Now left behind To fade upon the years Along with all my old regrets That came with all my tears

Normally this sort of quiet musing catches me late at night and suddenly I am caught up in wondering if I am going in the right direction. Thankfully most other times I can shake such thoughts off.
I try not to believe in regrets, I like to think that even if things don't go to plan I can grow from it or work with it. The only path that's right is the one that you lay for yourself and that's always going to be difficult. I'm in no way meaning to deflect from your words, only considering what they say to me.
From experience I can completely relate to what you are saying (I'm sure most readers will also feel this way). It takes strength to move past regrets and doubts, I hope you can find it.

Wordsy,
I enjoy the brevity of this piece, it says so much with so few words. I think many of us could relate to these thoughts...these words...
"Now in gentle silence
I pause and I reflect"
Thanks for sharing.
Peace,
