he sits for hours alone with a computer and a phone
messing with little jobs in a world of his own
ready and waiting for someone to talk to
enjoys the feeling when they come on and do
living in isolation from people and friends
becomes excited when the lonliness ends
always starts the conversations with 'hi, how r u?'
followed by the almost habitual 'whats new?'
'fine' they said 'nothing much, u?'
at which point he admits he is feeling blue
he opens up but theres nothing to do
so changes the topic 'what r u up 2?'
sometimes hours or seconds they last.
in his opinion, always over too fast.
conversations with friends dramatically affect his mood
deciding if hell be happy or sad, so laugh or just brood
and then hes alone again, left to his thoughts
about his life, the future and his past.
