Love.
Some people say they know
what love is.
They think its
joy
togetherness
lttle pin hearts skewered by arrows
intials carved in an oak tree.
They are wrong.
Love
is sorrow
is despair
is rejection.
Love is a twisting, churning mass of lost hopes and dreams.
Love
is
loneliness.

The loss or rejection of love can certainly cause such bitterness in some people.
Hopefully this will be a temporary state, but great job of capturing the pain.
