We would not forget
And suffered not the burdens
We carry of regret
And had we chose to listen
So we might have known
If only wed dared to look
At the things that we were shown
And had it then been different
And had that we known how

I like this one the best of all the 'morning's words' that I have read so far because of the subject matter considered.
If you could would you really change the past? Isn't that the whole point though - if we could go back and do things differently we wouldn't have to make any difficult decisions or think about our actions, because if we didn't like how it turned out we could just go back and change it. That's what makes a difficult decision difficult, because once done it is nigh on irreversibile. There might be things I want to change, but I probably wouldn't change them because they could lead to consequences that are just as bad. It might be a bit cliched, but its what we do with what we've got that really matters.
Sorry to ramble on, I just love these, and I love how they get me thinking!
