Hanging above a broken sunrise I see the thorns rising up to greet me Seek haven in the clouds Engulf my everything in their gloom Until they break too And i'm left in solitude (****) Each day breaks and cracks torment the sky Horizon swallows the mutilated blue Gravity rips me from all I loved The thorns rise up to greet me Piercing my sides with their embrace This is the new forever As the old fades into never The severed light allows me one more glimpse at dying skies The fragmented sun sinks into obscurity And I'm left in solitude ****.
