Early morning, Stomach churning, Rented room, With walls that seem to turn, and spin, And through the blinds the sun is burning, Little jets of scorch that journey for my ailing head, And then the yearning, craving, ya, this liquid yearning, dehydrating, Empty gut and blazing throat, And Damn! that sun is aggravating!
Summoning an ounce of energy I rise and painfully I stumble to the kitchen sink, and I drink and I drink and I drink
