LOVE
Love is such a precious thing
Falling in love,
is like blooming flowers
in the start of spring
You think about it often
will this be the year
Hopefully the beautiful blossoms
will soon start to appear
That special sensation, one only gets
when that first blossom arrives
Growing, on a daily basis
and how this relationship thrives
Oh how I wait for that day
I shiver with the thought
I hope the look in her eyes, will be special
from the flowers that I bought
A new life for the two of us
will begin on that day
Each of us giving of ourselves
in our own way
How wonderful it will be
to have your love by your side
And to always be filled
with such pride

Its been too long since I've read your wonderful poetry, Bruce! Your poems always melt my heart! The idea of new life came be taken in many ways (married life, a child etc) but it is heartwarming to read.

| This is a beautiful way to show what love is. even though it also has its dark side but in this poem, its beauty overrides that dark side. Excellent write! |
