I sat on weathered rocks, yelling in the dark spitting into the wind, tossing sins of shame,
sitting silent in a forest scene, becoming one with trees breathing in , breathing out,
rolled in mud, sank in sand, chanted motionless at the sun,
bled life on typed pages of white, took a needle or two underskin now decorated in eternal memory,
swam to seclusion sheltered safely on my throne of rock,
walking this midnight walk, the moon at my shoulder my shadow beneath,
this truth for the moment, clear in sight, born alone, die alone,
this is sadly, but poignantly, just our own solo flight
