Bliss Is Ignorance

Oh, how the happy poet sighs Such beauty to the page Of flowers bloomed but hours past And babies new of age
And how I love such poetry Delight in purest form But I enjoy the irony That lurks within its core
The saddened poet cries "Existence, bleak, forlorn" Extinguishing his woes through ideas
The joyous poet sings "In life, such beauty holds" Expressing her bliss through observation
And therein lies the irony For eyes deceive And thoughts are proof
So unlucky poets find the truth Ignoring such deceit Whereas the bless'ed poet lies herself Ignoring lacking meaning

Interesting piece...in a way i guess this how we all see ourselves from time to time.
For eyes deceive
And thoughts are proof
These two lines say volumes..because it is the truth...Our minds think what our eyes see...and what we see is where our thoughts come from..
I really liked this..I look forward to reading more of your work.
