when they died i could not cry

i still remember the day
as though it was only yesterday
i walked into the house
with a smile across me face
just the look on their face
made every once of happiness
dissapear without a trace
they didn't have to say anything
cuz i already knew
Rachel was dead
i threw my bag to the ground
and ran to my room
but i couldn't cry
no i just popped open a 40 ounce
and just drank the pain away
and did my best to forget that day
by the time my birthday came
id erased that day
so when the phone rang
i had no idea what the call would bring
i said hello
when the response came
i just droped the phone
and just stood there speechless for a moment
then ran to my desk
and drank my pain away again
my friend Bryan walked in the room
he asked me what was wrong
but i couldn't talk
i just sat with the bottle in my hands
and stared into his eyes
completely speechless
he ran to me and hugged me
i didn't have to say a thing
cuz he already knew
Trevin was dead
i brought the bottle to my lips once again
and drank the pain away
and still to this day whenever i think of them
i still cant cry
i just open another bottle
and drink untill the pain goes away
