The Key To It All

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Friday, 12th October 2007 @ 11:45:41 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

Today I feel elated,
settled and with peace.
Several days I've been feeling
these undeniable vibrations,
as if Earth is somehow speaking...
directly to me;
trying to tell me something...
Ah... I pray to the Earth Mother
that you show me the way,
through love and nature
and brotherhood...
Help me to understand myself
for other things do not matter
until I myself have been renewed.
Autumn time reminds me of
shedding off the old,
a time of Winter rest and
Spring renewal...
that in the future shall come.
Nature has this way if you let her...
To heal ,
To penetrate the soul.
To learn what is important
and what is not in this ever
changing season called life.
To dwell upon seasons past
seem such a waste of precious
time that one has in their Earthen Shell.
I've listened to the winds blow
and the spirits have spoken
in broken words and lines.
The key to it all...
Love,

Please show me I am not mistaken.

Laura,

Just thoughts you say , but very skillfully linked together. It is very comforting to ex perience your positive, upbeat presentation of self. It is very good to hear you be renewed; or talk of renewal at least.

Well done my friend,

Will

Laura,

this one stirred my feelings at a deep level. Love is indeed the key, and I love the the last line. Well structured, and a smooth read.

Oh my dear sis .. that last line gripped my very own heart. How utterly
desperate and yet so calm and forthright. Damn, woman, you write so
candidly that it strikes chords in all of us. Praying for guidance is
something I am familiar with, (and do quite often). Heck, I can't decide
what I'm doing from one minute to the next, and then even when I
DO decide what the right course is, I still plague myself with second
guessing. But when something HUGE happens to upset the balance of
our world .. yeah .. it's a helluva blow. Who the heck really knows
what to do?

I'm glad you feel the way your poem states. =) makes me happy
to see you making your way, (however slow) in a direction that will
bring you peace and much deserved happiness.

peace, love and hugs, always,

your sis

~MG :)

I too embrace autumn and enjoyed reading this poem,it read beautifully.
Yes,love is the key.Unconditional love, expecting nothing in return, love merely because you do.A difficult target to hit,but the truth.
And as you say,"to learn what is important and what is not"
