|
Secret place where none can see,
Up elevated, I feel free,
Watching silently while the sun departs,
Spreading its brilliant waves of color,
Coving the skies like a work of perfect art,
Gazing across the bridge to life unknown,
Cars zooming fast,
By and by,
Flowing up and down,
Freely moving with the winds passing by,
The water is carried along,
Reflecting whats high above it,
Illuminating colors of soft hue,
Looking like what it cannot be,
Containing life unseen,
By and by,
Flag of patriots heart near,
Deep red and white rippling,
Clapping its end to the sound of wind,
Clanging, the rope taps the pole,
White stars of freedom presented proudly,
Symbol of the lands dreams,
Displayed highly with honor,
By and by
The night blanket is lain,
Lights of far off places awaken,
And the North Star glistens its promise,
As the moon shines its pale face,
While the breeze caresses the trees,
Alone I sit to partake in this majesty,
A simple observer of creations gift,
By and by
Cannot be held,
Time is something that cannot be bought,
Controlled, stopped, nor taken back,
Time cannot be seen nor effected by man,
Only remains as fragments in memory,
Only beheld in dreams of a future,
Passing quickly and hushed,
By and by,
In my secret place....
