Topic: oops

I can bear hardships and carry burdens
And still go about every day with happiness,
Love, and joy
I can smile
When I want to scream
I can laugh
Even when my heart feels too broken
To get me through the day
I can hold my head up
Even on the days that I don't feel beautiful
I can love unconditionally
Even when I know that you will never love me
In the same way
I can take you into my arms
And kiss away all of your problems
Even when my own problems
Feel like they're too much to handle
You could hurt me more
Than anyone in this world has ever been hurt before
And I would still never turn you away
If you wound up hating me,
For whatever reason,
My heart would break
Into a million pieces
But I could never change
The way I feel about you
All I ask
Is that you never forget me
And what we could have been
The things we could have had
And the way we could have felt
Because it's something I think of
Every day
