Mothers
A mother awakens
In the middle of the night
Tho all seems quiet around her
She knows somethings not right
You may call it intuition
Psychic energy or e.s.p.
But when it comes to the children
Her powers far surpass me
God has granted mothers
A special kind of love
Defying a fathers understanding
A revelation from above
Who can refute my claim ?
Say it is not true
A mothers special dispensation
A unique and uncanny view
How does a mother know
Even before its done
A well devised plan of mischief
Hidden so cleverly by a son
Tell me how does she always know
The gentle words her children needs
To assuage their fears
Patch a tender heart that bleeds
Yes, a mothers heart stands on guard
Attentive to our call
For in a mothers touch
God blesses and touches us all
