Children dashing down the street Looking for good things to eat Loudly shouting "Trick or treat!" Children dashing down the street.
Candles casting flickering light Illuminate this spooky night From pumpkins with faces full of fright Candles casting flickering light.
Screams and laughter fill the air Nightmares lived out everywhere Give your closest friends a scare Screams and laughter fill the air.
On this night of Halloween No ones' faces can be seen The ones you can are painted green On this night of Halloween.
All Hallow's Eve is drawing near A night of suspicion, evil and fear That sugar rush will soon be here All Hallow's Eve is drawing near.

Brilliantly written! This poem keeps its flow right to the end, in a way that has your foot tapping and a little tune in your head. Could imagine this in school textbooks. Nicely done! |
