what do you want is it for me to care that love no longer lingers in the air I know that today makes the anniversary of you and me Stop the "i love you"s the feelings we once had have ceased to be All our friends remember the love we once shared Along with those nights we breathed the same air.
It use to be, I couldn't sleep without you by my side Then came that day, the flame in my heart died There was someone else that was taking my place in your soul That spark we once had, now looks like slippery black coal A phone call is how my world came to stop With only five words spoken, i could feel my lungs drop and fell on the floors; the ones you held me on during those bitter nights we went through hell and back during those drug filled fights
There was once a time, where i held you in my arms and you were mine But now, i've just been pushed to the back of the line I'm content with that, seeing how your miles away And I'm stuck here letting hearing your voice again ruin my day I'm done with the anguish you left me to endure Letting go is something of which I'm not sure
So Just pass me one more beer And let me make this memory of you disappear For now, I say Goodbye to the feelings of you and me, They'll only be a faded memory lost at sea..

A faded memory lost at sea, that line is so powerful.. The sea and its force and how it could easily devour..
The entire write is lovely, though so sad.
I hope your heart mends.
