I still think about you
Everyday
Although the waves have receeded
I can see me with you
On the shore
As the water pulls back
Taking the sands of time
I try not to wonder what I lack
Kissing earth for what was mine
Thanking god
For all the sins you bought
As the days they fade
I know it's your face
That remains
Grasping and reaching on hope
To retain
That of a beauty such as you
Can contain a broken fragment
Such as me
