Embarrassed

Contributed by Percursors on Thursday, 6th March 2003 @ 06:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

My neck is getting hot
bloods running outta my ears
my heart beat is rising
my face is turning red
is it all in my head
I go through life moment to moment to avoid situations like this
my bodys going numb
my hands start to shake
I worry about every little detail that shows through on my face
I want to run
but Im held down with invisible strings
I want to cry
but to show emotions would be strange
I try to remember it will be over soon
I try to pretend I know wut to do
for someone so good u judge me bad
for someone so bad I judge u good
but its my fault that Im not prepared for the future
Im not even prepared for now
I cant get the words out
let me be
weltering in my red misery
my eyes hurt and I dread u everyday
all hunched over in my chair
with my hair all in my face
and my head tilled left
and a dry tear on my cheek

I like this one best of all that I've read, Percursors. Its so clear and to the point. I've felt this quite a few times and you describe it perfectly. At your young age, you perhaps cannot imagine this, but I can. With your kind of impassioned zeal, you will probably become a terrific speaker, one that is willing to go through the discomforts, because you feel the message is so important. I've done some speaking and singing, from which I learned I choose carefully what I do and for whom. I'm not afraid to be a fool for God. My church can almost count on it, that I'm going to cry if I sing Amazing Grace. Love, Grandma Bizzy
