May 24th is coming
One year ago I was wondering
Would I ever see this day
Now its less than seven months away
November 22nd you broke my heart
That made for quite a rough start
I felt like I had died
As I lay awake and cried
I thought it was over before it began
I almost took my stuff and ran
But God said no and I wasnt sure why
Until four days later again you made me cry
This time it hurt much less
I was totally full of happiness
You told me you still cared
I was dumbfounded and verbally impaired
The only thing I could say to myself was thank goodness
God showed me his faithfulness
All I could do was pray
Little did I know what God was going to say
He said to me this is the girl I chose
I thought well now I cant lose
348 days later and now going strong
Our love will last an entire life long
I think that it was meant to be
You might even say it was destiny
I just continue to pray
I pray this every day
That from this dream I will not wake
If only for my healed hearts sake
If it were ever to break again
It could be the very end
My life would com to a close
Like a dying flower, the end of a rose
I want your beauty in my life
Now I look forward to calling you my wife
A vision of beauty oh so stunning
I feel unworthy, as though I should be running
We will spend our lives together
Ive had to learn, I can never say never
God is the one we answer to
It is not me and it is not you
If he wants us together in marriage
He will provide our golden carriage
When we are considered old age
We will just turn the page
It will begin a new chapter
In our book of love which lasts forever
Until the day we are taken
Without you my heart will be aching
I want you always by my side
I cant believe you will soon be my bride
You and I are a strange pair
Your beautiful face and flowing hair
My awkward ways and gigantic nose
And my teeth, lets not even talk about those
Seeing you with me
To Gods grace it is a testimony
He has given me a beautiful girl
The girl that is there to complete my world
I love you with everything inside
I couldnt explain even if I tried
A never ending dream
Impossible or so it would seem
Now together we are running
Because may 24th is coming
