She waits in the shadows
whole world passing by
so many endless tears
have fallen from her eyes
she looks down to the ground
as she cries and cries
as she fights and fights
the pain she feels inside
She waits in the shadows
time fading away
too many hurtful words
she listens to them say
she kneels down to the ground
as she prays and prays
taking day by day
the hurt never goes away
So she waits in the shadows
as all hope dissapears
whatever that is left un-said
she still manages to hear
and now shes reminicin
of all the years and years
of all the fears and tears
she wonders why shes here

| this needs some stanzas and punctuations to pack some punch. your poem has been more emotional than the other ones ive read tonight, so kudos on that. the only thing that kept me going for years was that maybe one day it will get better, and it did to the point that everyone noticed that i was a very happy person. so you may wonder why youre here, but it isnt relevant to anything as far as i can see. life is life, and sadness takes too much of life away from you. |
