Thud Sounds of a distant echo Rumbling in the background The creaking Of rusted metal Trying to move Years of tears Rain and weathered times Solidifying every movement The pain of watching Behind a statues eyes The muffled sounds A desperate cry for help A beauty Right there in front of me Gentle hands flow Releasing tightened chains That once bound me in place Breaking free Realizing its only a small joy Which can never truly be experienced A reminder of that hollow echo That always lies in wait If only. ...I could know true joy If only I could feel If only I could love If I onlyhad a heart.
