I dont recognise the image staring back, As I look even closer it begins to crack, It looks so ugly and distorted, Warped, disgusting and contorted.
Who is this person glaring at me? It looks so trapped ,longing to be free, I feel the fear and see the pain in their eyes, If I listen closely I can hear its faint cries.
The longer I stand, the harder it stares, And to its hate I become more aware, The hatred flows through the mirrored glass It creates a shadow inside thats so vast.
The hurt, the anger and the pain, I cant believe Im back here again, If I close my eyes maybe theyll go? Leave my sight and take with them the woe.
Maybe this person is all in my mind? Maybe to the mirror is where its confined? Maybe all this is just a horrible dream, But as I wake up I can still hear it scream.

pixie ... not much has changed, especially not your lustre for taking the
ordinary and making it extraordinary. You can and do pull so much
out of this reader. I missed reading your work, though it always has
this tendency to make me want to hug you and squeeze you until
your smile bursts into laughter that cannot be stilled. There is always
a scent of sadness to your work that bleeds onto the page.
As always, a pleasure to read.
*hugs*
~Breezy |
