aktub haaulaai Kalimaat
Li anta, Habibi
Li uhibbok, Habibi
akhadhta qalbi, Habibi
Hattā thamma la mufaajaaat

Thamma la Kalimaat li anta
Mish hatta kathir aqdur yaqool, Habibi
Li uhibbok, Habibi
Mish aqdur yalif, ghāib, Habibi
O, matta?

Oh, When?

I write these words
For you, beloved
For I love you, beloved
Take my heart, beloved
So (that) there are no surprises

There are no words for you
Not so much Im able to say, beloved
For I love you, beloved
Im not able to turn away, beloved
Oh, when?
