oops

lately,
i find myself
wondering about crazy things
stupid things
things i shouldnt be worrying about.
things like:
how soon will i have
enough poems
for another book,
and whatll the reviews
be like?
things like:
what magazine
should i send these poems to?
or these?
and will they get accepted?
will they be
liked?
i hate it.
thats not
me.
i want to go back
to the time
when i was an acquired taste
and only a
handful of people
bought my books.
and no one
cared.
it was so much easier
then.
but,
ill get through it.
things will
change.
they always do.
sometimes
i worry too much.
sometimes,
when i think
im skating on thin ice,
im surprised to find
its only
morning frost.

Beautiful! Interesting how sometimes our fears blind us to how secure we really are. I liked how this poem felt free and at ease, no pressure, just words and thoughts.
