Ten feet away
I see myself
Standing in a crowd
People rush by my figure
My heart beats in slow motion
I cannot stop my mistakes
Happening repeatedly
Disregarded
Disenchanted
Ten feet away
The heartbeat is not mine
The thoughts belong to no one
Floating in abyss
Trying to connect
Trying to tell her
Not to make that mistake
Unhearing
Unrelenting
Ten feet away
I see myself leaving
Walking away
Someday I might find myself
Sitting in a corner healing
Fixing the bruised soul
I will find the girl I knew long ago
For now I wait
Ten feet away
The gap getting bigger
I leave myself
Endangered
Ending
