Sharing Our Gifts

Contributed by Willofree on Wednesday, 5th December 2007 @ 12:23:50 PM in AEST
Topic: poets

His gifts the Lord has bestowed upon me,
one being the love of writing poetry.
Certainly this gift is not free,
but rather an assigned role of responsibility.

I choose to use my gifts for others benefit,
but are not the talents for me to use as I see fit?
"You know you are supposed to help your fellow man,
to do something for others whenever you can".

But only to give others gifts reverently,
so that they may be received respectfully.
To give of my talent to please others,
does bring joy to serve my sisters and brothers.

"You seem to get the point my son,
those gifts I instill in you are assigned to help everyone.
If you want to hoard you gifts,
you might as well set them adrift".

"So enjoy the gifts from Me,
and use them to help serve humanity.
I am counting on you
to serve others as you would have Me serve you".

That's very nice.
I never considered my writings gifts, but I guess if even one person enjoys it or even possibly impacts their life, it could be seen as a gift.

Lovely. You are correct, it is a gift we all are lucky to have.
A precious gift to not only help ourselves, but maybe inspire someone else as well.

Thank you for sharing your talent. :)
